Muoto continues to develop its fibre-based packaging, expanding the Uncoated Fibre series portfolio with the Muoto Twin 3Plate, a three-compartment solution designed for modern food serving.
Designed for everyday meal occasions, Muoto Twin 3Plate supports clear and considered food presentation. The three compartments keep different meal elements separate in one simple format – supporting both functionality and presentation across food serving, casual dining and grab-and-go.
Muoto Twin 3Plate is the latest addition to the Uncoated Fibre series, a growing portfolio that includes trays, plates, bowls and clamshell formats for serving and takeaway.
Designed for functionality
The Muoto Twin 3Plate introduces a clear and intuitive layout: three compartments keep ingredients separate without additional inserts or components.
“This format reflects a growing demand for meals that are fresh, visually appealing, and easy to handle, whether enjoyed on the go or served in quick-service environments,” highlights Tarja Heikkilä, Muoto Product Manager.
“Built on the Muoto Twin concept, the plate combines design with considered functionality. It can be used as a single serving item or paired to form a closable takeaway unit, offering a flexible solution for serving and takeaway applications.” Heikkilä adds.
Nordic fresh fibre for modern food serving
As part of the Muoto Uncoated Fibre series, Twin 3Plate is made from renewable Nordic wood fibre and produced using novel moulded fibre technology. The result is a structure that is lightweight yet highly rigid, and designed to meet the needs of both food service operators and consumers.
The material offers grease- and moisture-resistant performance, supporting both dry and moist foods, and a variety of meal types. The products are designed to meet strict food contact requirements and align with evolving regulatory expectations, including the growing demand for recyclable solutions. Uncoated Muoto plates are PFAS-free and plastic-free, and can be recycled with cardboard after use.
A step forward in practical fibre design
The launch of Muoto Twin 3Plate reflects the ongoing development approach of Muoto: working closely with customers during the pre-commercial phase and refining formats based on real use cases and market feedback. Beyond material performance, the focus is on usability.
