Muoto x Mini-Maid: a standout collaboration at Packaging Innovations

Packaging Innovations & Empack, the UK’s most comprehensive packaging event, takes place annually at the NEC in Birmingham. This year, the mid‑February show brought together more than 500 exhibitors – including leading brands, innovators, and industry specialists – to explore the future of packaging.

Muoto Uncoated Fibre products were showcased at an event in co-operation with Mini-Maid, the leading producer of tableware from renewable sources. Over two days, more than 8,000 visitors attended the fair exploring new packaging solutions. Beyond the breakthrough technology and next-generation solutions, the event served as a hub for discovery and hands-on inspiration – highlighting the human side of innovation and encouraging attendees to connect, collaborate, and build new partnerships. 

A stronger presence through partnership

A collaborative approach was also at the heart of Mini Maid’s partnership with Muoto, resulting in a stronger and more engaging display, showcasing the natural synergy between the offerings. The partnership enabled both teams to tap into new insights, share industry knowledge, and explore how the products could address consumer needs in the UK market.

“From our perspective, Muoto was an interesting partner for the Packaging Innovations event because we already knew that in the UK there is a large market for that type of product. It’s clear that Muoto made our stand more interesting to visitors than it would have been without them,” says Niklas Byskata, Key Account Manager, Mini-Maid.

“Muoto products are also close to our own, so that we didn’t feel the overall display would become too fragmented; on the contrary, the products complemented our offering and vice versa. Together with Muoto, we were able to offer a combined showcase that sparked more interest among visitors than either of us could have achieved alone,” he concludes.
